The Happy List

Happy Monday!

I am so pumped to start this week as it marks the almost-end of the first constructive month of 2016. January has been a roller coaster ride of making new plans, cleanup of old (no longer needed stuff!) and fresh starts.
With a schedule so hectic, I was a bit stressed and excited at the same time. This is why I am making a list of the things that cheered me up in the past week.

// Cotton candy skies in winter evenings. I love seeing & capturing skies so much. They are mesmerizing and a blessing up from heaven.

// My phone. Alright, I am obsessed with gadgets. Whenever I see a new product launched in the market, I check it just for the sake of checking. Though my phone is above all - it's a beauty, helping hand and a pack of wonderfulness shaped up as a phone. From making notes to completing sums, I use it for everything.

// Accounting. I am sure it wouldn't have made it to my happy list a little while ago because I abhorred the current lessons that were included in my course. But I started it last week with a determination to complete it anyways - it turned out to be an interesting assignment.

// My dear books. I wonder what would I do without reading? If I ever had doubts about the magical ability of a book to transport you to another world, I don't doubt it anymore. I'm currently reading The Bastard of Istanbul by Elif Shafak. It's been a great read so far. Shafak's words inspire me immensely. It's a long story and I am sure it would take days to finish it.

// Social media in general. We had #socialboggers chat on Saturday, which turned out to be so engaging and interacting that I was almost squealing with happiness. Instagram is my happy place - all the creative photos and ideas make me so happy.
I had some plans for Pinterest and finally put them together to launch a group board for creative bloggers. I am currently working on it. I will reveal more details soon. It's an engaging project and I can't wait to involve every single creative blogger I know in it.

What are some things topping your happy list these days?

  1. Instagram is definitely my happy place too!
All the more because you started talking to me on it and kickstarted my blogging.
If the story in that book is as beautiful as the cover, it must be worth a read indeed. ^^

  3. I really enjoyed the #socialbloggers chat too, and you were a great host!
And that sky looks so beautiful (which is really impressive, because whenever I try to take a picture of the sky, it never captures the beauty).
Hope you have a great week x

  6. What a great post for when you're feeling down! I like looking at the skies as well, sometimes the colors are surprisingly vibrant too!

Blair Waldorf definitely wouldn't have let a bad week keep her down either (:

  15. Happy to have found your blog ;) But really, happy list right now is good coffee, being back in Australia after seven months of travel, seeing my nieces and nephews grow so much, and my morning run! Also, good to see other accountants with blogs! We've gotten a bad wrap for being boring for far too long!

  18. omg, the minute I read "What would Blair do?" on your notebook/planner, I knew I was going to love you. AHAHA, I absolutely love Blair. That show, Sherlock and Castle are my favorite shows!

I'm with you on all of those things but probably not accounting, mine is more writing/typing/designing as opposed to accounting:)

  19. Instagram is my happy place too. It's especially great when I have nothing to post but still manage to interact a lot. Goes to show that you don't always have to be the "poster" to get more engagement.
