5 Inspiring Quotes That Changed The Way I Look At Life

I love to read random quotes and write them down for inspiration. If I were to say that most of my life decisions were inspired by different quotes, please don't be surprised. I am a quote junkie by heart!
I have already done a Quotes from my favorite books post & today I have 5 other quotes to share that have inspired me in so many ways.
5 inspiring quotes that changed the way I look at life

1. “I learned...that inspiration does not come like a bolt, nor is it kinetic, energetic striving, but it comes into us slowly and quietly and all the time, though we must regularly and every day give it a little chance to start flowing, prime it with a little solitude and idleness.”
― Brenda Ueland

Whenever I feel irritated by the lack of inspiration, I can rely on the good vibes of this quote. It's impossible to force inspiration, it must come from within.

2. “The greatest thing about dreams is they don’t expire. They can lay dormant for years and when you pull them out and dust them off, they shine like new.”
― Casi McLean

Dreams never expire, but it also depends on one's will to keep them alive somewhere. Somewhere in your thoughts, somewhere in your ambitions. Once you get back to them, they'll get back to you, too. The only distance is your will to achieve them for real.

3. “You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That's the only thing you should be trying to control.”
― Elizabeth Gilbert

The peace of mind is such an important thing.  A disturbed mind can never work well. I'm still working on this, but in the meanwhile, this quote is everything to look up to. Heart emoji.

4. “It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything.”
― Chuck Palahniuk

This is my life mantra these days. Some losses are inevitable and their burden is just too much, but when you're over them, it becomes easy to go on in life. It's exactly when there's nothing left to worry about 'cause there's nothing left at all. This feeling itself helps a lot.

5. Holstee Manifesto. You can see it above in the photo. It's an easy, relatable, and an inspiring piece. I discovered it a few years ago when a friend suggested it to me, knowing my obsession with good quotes. It has stayed with me until now.

I consider the collecting of quotes as a very cool hobby. Whether it's from a book or a random excerpt, it really doesn't matter. Sometimes, all we need is just the comfort of words, regardless of the source of where they're coming from. It's hard to narrow this post down to only 5 quotes (from my mind-library of 28645345 quotes), but they are all that has inspired/influenced me lately.

What are some of your favorite quotes that inspire you every day?
