Poetry: October Edition

Yesterday was astounding + wonderful - I was given the opportunity to host freshmen's orientation program in my college & I couldn't be more excited to pull it off. But of course, it wasn't easy to take it all at once. I tried to do my best and it went so well. TOTALLY ACED IT. Phew!!!!
Exactly one year ago, I was sitting in the same auditorium, listening to the similar speeches, trying to make up my mind for what awaited ahead. Little did I know I'd be the one to stand on the same stage, welcoming my juniors. It feels unreal to be the senior and how college is going to end within few months. This is how life goes on. I am just so grateful of every single opportunity I've availed so far.I have some poems to share today. Last time I published my poems was in July. So without any further ado, I am happy to share what I have written in past few days.

"I can fix a lot of things,
But cannot mend a broken heart,
For it is too fragile,
And fixing it, is another art,

But I hope to learn it soon,
As I see mine getting torn,
Before it breaks into million pieces,
And I am left to fix it all alone."
"If our lives were defined by our social medias,
Everything must become way too cool,
Since, all we post about glamours of life,
Noth the things that make us look like a fool,
Would you post about the top that didn't fit?
Or an old album that you absurdly thought, was a hit?
Perhaps it's a life that makes you belong,
To a society, you had always longed,
It's time to think whether it's right,
To go after things that might only be looking so bright."

Writing poetry is such an empowering act. I absolutely love how rhyming words have an impact on daily life. The Heart Art is my new favorite piece. I'm planning to hang it on on my wall, but I'm not sure yet. Whezzz!!!

Now, I want you all to inspire me for my next edition of poems. Fill this form with your idea/inspiration & I will try to write a piece on it. Then, it will be featured in my next edition of poems. So whatever idea you have in your mind, shoot it in my way. I'm so excited to see what might turn out with all of it. Cheers!!!
